Happy Mothers Day!

by timh on May 1, 2009

It’s so fitting that we honor our mothers during spring and May is truly spring at its best. Everything is alive with promise: Trees, shrubs, and many flowers are all putting on a show. Even the air seems fresher as it”s softly scented with the smell of flowers and freshly mown grass. Granted, there are still some chilly evenings and cold rains, but warm days are overwhelmingly here, and the full force of the season is upon us.

“What potent blood hath modest May.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1983 you planted a cherry tree in our front yard. It was beautiful.

Now that it no longers bears fruit, I’d like to replace it. Can you tell me what it would cost to remove the old tree and plant a new one, some time between now and Mother’s Day (May 8).
If you need to see the area, my address is 1415 Park Avenue, River Forest. Thank you.
